What certificates and ratings must a renter hold to purchase Block hours?
Response: The renter must hold FAA Private Pilot certificates and a Minimum of 200 hours and 10 in the type of aircraft to be operated.
What medical certificate is required for renting an aircraft?
Response: Renters must possess a current FAA-issued medical certificate that is suitable for the type of operation they intend to conduct.
What insurance coverage is mandatory for renters?
Response: The renter must have their own insurance for the duration of the agreement, with a minimum of $40,000 (or more) coverage for non-owned aircraft damage for fixed-wing aircraft. Check out AOPA Rental Insurance
Who is responsible for safe and legal operations during a flight?
Response: The renter is also the Pilot-in-Command, is responsible for all aspects of safe and legal flight, including flight planning, decision-making, and compliance with regulations.
Who is responsible for purchasing fuel and engine oil?
Response: Renters are responsible for purchasing suitable fuel and engine oil for the aircraft at their own expense, and no refunds or reimbursements are given for these expenses.
Can renters offer flight instruction in rented aircraft?
Response: No, renters are not permitted to provide flight instruction in rented aircraft.
Are renters allowed to conduct flights for commercial purposes?
Response: No, renters are NOT permitted to conduct flights for any commercial purpose in rented aircraft.
What responsibilities do renters have regarding aircraft maintenance?
Response: Renters should not attempt to repair any part of the aircraft. They should contact the aircraft PNWAV8R for instructions in case of equipment malfunctions.
What fees are renters responsible for during their rental?
Response: Renters are responsible for paying all ramp, landing, and other applicable fees incurred during their rental.
Can renters operate the aircraft outside the Continental United States?
Response: No, renters are not allowed to operate the rented aircraft outside the limits set by the agreement.
Can renters carry passengers or property for compensation or hire?
Response: Renters are prohibited from carrying passengers or property for compensation or hire in the rented aircraft.
Dry Rate?
Response: Dry rate renting does not include Avgas and Oil - the pilot's responsibility is to cover both as needed.
